Located inside New Chitose Airport, this is the latest café by Morihiko, a well-loved coffee brand from Hokkaido. The design freely interprets and expresses the Japanese traditions and culture that Morihiko deeply respects—through the unique lens of Hokkaido. Elements such as a tea room built with bark-on kobushi logs evoking the northern spring, a kamidana (Shinto altar), a counter made of Biei soft stone, and pieces of driftwood are arranged in a three-dimensional composition that highlights their individual characters. Together, they form a unified environment reminiscent of a garden. Not only the path that leads to the tea room through a noren curtain evokes a spatial ritual, but every seat offers its own unique sequence and experience.
